District Drug Control Units Continue City-Wide Crackdown on Drug-Related Crime

Thank you to the ‘anonymous tipster’ who provided information to the District B-3 Drug Control Unit. The anonymous information provided was the catalyst to an investigation resulting in a significant gun and drug arrest.

Incident Description:
The District B-3 Drug Control Unit applied for and were granted a search warrant for 145 Glenway Street in Dorchester. On December 8, 2010 at approximately 7:55pm, the Drug Control Unit along with the assistance of the DEA Task Force executed a search of the residence. Officers made a peaceful entry and conducted the search.
The search resulted in the seizure of 3 Firearms including 1 40 caliber Kel Tec Rifle with a fully loaded 30 magazine, 1 loaded Walter PPK containing 5 rounds of ammunition, 1 loaded 45 caliber Laser Aim Firearm containing 6 rounds of ammunition, 2 boxes of hollow point ammunition, marijuana, personal papers, packaging materials, and other drug paraphernalia.
Officers arrested the target of the investigation Michael Gordon, 35, of Dorchester. Gordon was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Hi Capacity Firearm, Unlawful Possession of High Capacity Feeding Device, 3 counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession W/I to Distribute Class.
A second suspect, Richard Kirnon, 37, of Dorchester, who arrived on scene, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Dorchester District for Kidnapping and Assault and Battery.
