Around 3:10PM on Friday, November 26, 2010, a victim of an armed robbery walked to District B-3 (Mattapan) to report that he had just been robbed at gunpoint.
The victim, who is a driver for a livery service, stated that he picked two black males in the area of 113 Greenbrier St. in Dorchester based on a phone call to his company. The victim further reported that the suspects asked to be driven to Mattapan but while driving down Hazelton Street, one of the suspects put what he thought was a gun to the back of his head and robbed of $400 in cash, his wedding band, his cell phone, Motorola walkie talkie, his earrings and a car radio faceplate.
The victim spoke to area detectives and based upon those conversations was driven around to see if the suspects could be found and placed under arrest. Officers drove around with the victim and as they approached the area of Walkhill Street, the victim pointed to two individuals who were standing in front of 673 Wallkill St. as the suspects who had robbed him. As officers exited the car, the suspects made eye contact with them and immediately took off running into 637 Walkhill Street. Officers pursued the suspects into the building and into apartment 4 where they were struck with a strong odor of marijuana. Officers, while pursuing the suspects, stopped two other individuals on a balcony attached to the apartment along with another female occupant of the apartment in a bedroom with a child. Other officers pursued the suspects into a bedroom where they a large bag of marijuana protruding from behind a dresser.
The armed robbery suspects, Troy Fernandez, 21 and Molijah Burey, 19 both of Dorchester were arrested and charged with Armed Robbery.
The other occupants of the house, Rodney C. Haskin, 22, Philip Henry, 24 of Mattapan and Sharon M. Thibeau, 27 all of Mattapan were al arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute to Class D (marijuana). In addition to the above mentioned, officers also recovered a firearm in the apartment.
