OPERATOR CITED FOR FAILURE TO SLOW FOR A PEDESTRIAN

At about 11:08pm, on Thursday, November 24, 2010, officers from Area E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a radio call for a motor vehicle accident where a pedestrian was struck in the area of Columbus Ave and Amory Street. On arrival, officers located the pedestrian who had been struck by a motor vehicle. The pedestrian, who was conscious and alert, was transported to the Boston Medical Center where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. According to witnesses, the pedestrian was in the crosswalk when she was struck by the car.

As a result, officers cited the operator of the motor vehicle for Failure to Yield or Slow for a Pedestrian.
