At about 4:44pm, on Saturday, November 20, 2010, officers from Area E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a radio call for a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian in the area of Centre & South Streets. On arrival, officers observed a pedestrian being treated by EMS. The pedestrian, a 25 year-old female, was transported to the Beth Israel Hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. According to witnesses, the pedestrian was walking inside the crosswalk when she was struck.
Officers located the operator of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian. When asked about the accident, the operator stated that he didn’t see the pedestrian.
