Boston Police Nab Murder Suspect Shortly After Shooting Incident

At about 5:04pm, on Thursday, November 19, 2010, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for shots fired in the area of 20 Homestead Street. On arrival, officers located a victim, a 28 year-old black male, outside the rear of the above mentioned address suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, suffering from life threatening injuries, was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced.

Shortly after the incident, officers placed James Allen, 22, of Boston under arrest and have charged him with Murder.

The following should be commended for their role in this investigation and hard work that lead to the suspect\’s swift arrest: Area B-2 detectives and officers, YVSF, the Entry Team, Drug Control Unit, the BRIC and Safe Street Team.
