POLICE ARREST TWO DEFACING PROPERTY IN ROXBURY

At around 11:19pm, on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for vandalism taking place in the rear of 36-38 Pontiac Street. On arrival, officers observed two individuals spray painting on a rock wall in the rear of the property. Specifically, officers observed a female and a male. As officers approached, one of the two suspects attempted to flee on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, officers were able to apprehend the suspect. The second suspect remained on the scene and made no effort to flee. When officers investigated the area where the spray painting had occurred, officers discovered what looked to be recently applied paint that was still wet to the touch. Both of the suspects were observed to have paint on their hands. A search of the suspects enabled officers to locate and take possession of several cans of spray paint.

Officers arrested Chris Gould, 20, of Boston and Rachel Malam, 24, of Boston and charged both with Defacement of Property (Tagging).
