At about 12:26pm, on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, officers from Area E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to a radio call for a breaking & entering in the area of 57 Dedham Street in Hyde Park. On arrival, officers observed three male suspects exiting the location. Upon seeing the officers, all three suspects began to run. Officers observed the suspects run into a thicket of nearby woods. As the suspects entered the woods, officers noted that all three suspects split up and took off in different directions. Officers were able to locate and arrest two of the three suspects as they exited the woods in separate locations.
Officers arrested William Lara, 18, of Boston and Franklin Baez, 18, of Boston and charged both with Breaking & Entering. Once in custody, both suspects were transported to Area E-18 where they were booked according to department rules and procedures.
A short time later, officers returned to the scene in hopes of locating the third suspect. While patrolling in the area of Reservation Road and Brainard Street, officers observed an individual who matched the description of the third suspect. As a result, officers began following the suspect. While following behind the suspect, officers watched the suspect approach a residence and knock on the door. At this point, officers confronted the suspect. When asked what he was doing, the suspect stated, “I’m going to my cousin’s house.” However, when officers spoke to the resident, the resident stated that she did not who the suspect was.
Officers arrested the third suspect, Adrian Escobar, 19, of Boston and charged him with Breaking & Entering.
