POLICE COMMISSIONER EDWARD DAVIS REQUESTS SUFFOLK COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY DANIEL CONLEY REVIEW USE OF FORCE INCIDENT

Police Commissioner Edward Davis has requested that Suffolk Country District Attorney Daniel Conley review the facts and circumstances relative to the use of force during that arrest of a juvenile at Roxbury Community College on October 22, 2010. The Suffolk County District Attorney’s office in conjunction with Boston Police Internal Affairs Division will conduct a thorough and exhaustive investigation into the matter.

Commissioner Davis stated, “In the interest of an open and transparent investigation, I believe it is important to have District Attorney Dan Conley work closely with the police department to provide an objective perspective. We want to ensure the community that we are working diligently to resolve this issue. We believe that a coordinated effort with the District Attorney’s office will result in a speedy, effective and fair process for all involved.”
