POLICE ARREST THREE IN CONNECTION WITH AN ARMED ROBBERY IN ROXBURY

At about 6:44pm, on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) observed a victim being chased by three other individuals. Seeing this, the officers promptly approached the victim. When the three suspects saw the approaching officers, they stopped and changed direction. Officers spoke to the victim who stated that the three suspects tried to rob him. According to the victim, the suspects showed him a firearm and demanded money. Officers quickly broadcast a description of the suspects over the police radio. In the meantime, the victim also rode around with officers in an effort to locate the suspects.

In short time, officers were able to locate three individuals who matched the description of the suspects wanted in connection with the earlier robbery. When the victim showed up and observed the suspects, the victim stated, “That’s them.”

Officers arrested Corey Samuel, 18, of Boston, James Jones, 17, of Boston and a 16 year-old male from Boston and charged all three with Armed Robbery and the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
