IMMEDIATE CHECK VIA THE REAL TIME CRIME CENTER (RTCC) REVEALS 1-YEAR STAY AWAY ORDER
At about 6:00pm, on Friday, September 24, 2010, officers from Area C-6 (South Boston) were on patrol when they observed an individual in the company of another drinking from what looked to be an open container of beer in the area of 20 Carmody Court. Upon closer inspection, officers were able to confirm that the suspect was in fact drinking from a 24oz can of Budweiser Beer. Upon talking to the suspect, officers learned that the suspect did not live in the Old Colony Housing Development. Given that the area was clearly posted with the signs that read: ‘No Trespassing’, the suspect was charged with trespassing. A pat frisk of the suspect for officer’s safety enabled officers to locate and take possession of a large knife.
Officers arrested Keyon Farnum-Cohen, 21, of Brockton and charged him with Trespassing and Unlawful Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.
An additional background check of the suspect through the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) enabled officers to learn that the suspect has a 1 year stay away order from the city.
