At about 12:01am, on Sunday, September 12, 2010, officers from Area D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for a loud party in the area of 9 Radnor Road. On arrival, officers observed a large group, approximately 50 to 60 people, milling around inside and in front of the residence. Officers informed and instructed all party-goers to exit the residence. Upon entering the location, officers made their way to the 2nd floor where they were able to locate the lease holders of the apartment. Once inside the apartment, officers observed several beer cans and liquor bottles strewn all around the apartment. Officers placed the lease holders of the premises under arrest and charged all three with Being Keepers of a Disorderly House.

Additionally, officers arrested three other individuals, under the age of 21, who were caught while in the possession of alcohol.

WHEN THE POLICE SHOW UP … IT USUALLY MEANS THE PARTY’S OVER

At about 1:38am, on Sunday, September 12, 2010, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a loud party in the area of 45 Hillside Street. On arrival, officers observed several individuals exiting from the rear of the location. However, when the individuals saw the approaching officers, the individuals ran back inside the apartment. When officers attempted to gain entry, those inside the location either couldn’t hear the officers knocking or, simply, refused to acknowledge their presence. Officers eventually gained entry and located the lease holder of the apartment. The lease holder, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, was verbally disrespectful and disparaging as officers attempted to explain the situation to him.

Officers arrested Dustin Varney, 21, of Boston and charged him with Being the Keeper of a Disorderly House and Procuring Alcohol for a Minor.
