Around 11:45PM yesterday, a detail officer, driving past District B-2 (Roxbury) 135 Dudley Street in Roxbury, observed a male pick up a bicycle and hold it over his head briefly while standing next to a marked cruiser. The officer continued to observe the individual and saw him then throw the bike at a parked cruiser striking the cruiser and causing a dent.
The officer then reversed directions and with the assistance of other officers placed the suspect, Stephen Doherty, 33 of Dorchester under arrest charging him Malicious Destruction of Property.
