POLICE RESOND TO THE JFK BUILDING FOR THE REPORT OF A SUSPICIOUS DEVICE

DEVICE IN QUESTION SHOWN NOT TO BE HAZARDOUS

At about 2:21pm, on Thursday, September 9, 2010, officers from Area A-1 (Downtown) and members of the Boston Police Bomb Squad responded to the JFK Building for the report of a suspicious device. On arrival, officers spoke to security personnel who stated that a suspicious device was located and taken for additional inspection during the screening of an individual entering the building. Officers spoke to the individual who stated that the device was an invention he was bringing to show a friend. Further inspection enabled officers to determine that the device was not suspicious or hazardous in any way. The individual with the device was questioned and released.
