On September 2, 2010 at 12:13am, officers responded to 471 Blue Hill Ave. in Roxbury. Officers located two males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One victim was rushed to BMC and treated for a non-life threatening injury. The second male was pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries. The deceased victim has since been identified as Eric Smith, 18, of Roxbury.
