At about 9:45pm, on Saturday, August 28, 2010, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 970 Blue Hill Ave in Dorchester. On arrival, officers observed and located a 23 year-old male suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he later succumbed to injuries and was pronounced.
