At about 12:10am, on Saturday, August 14, 2010, officers from Area D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a person stabbed at 9 Lansdowne Street (The Lansdowne Pub). On arrival, officers located and observed a white male suffering heavy bleeding from what looked to be a laceration to his neck. The victim, a 25 white year-old male, was transported to the Brigham & Women’s Hospital where he later succumbed to injuries and was pronounced.
The victim apparently suffered his injury when, during an altercation, a glass was thrown. The preliminary investigation suggests a piece of broken glass from the thrown glass struck the victim and lead to the injury. In addition to the victim, two other individuals were struck with glass. Those individuals, a 22 year-old male and a 23 year-old female, were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect in this case, Hector Guardiola, 25, of Boston, has been arrested and charged with Manslaughter.
The Boston Police Homicide Unit continues to actively investigate the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to call the Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
