Stabbing Incident at 150 Kneeland Street

Around 3:10AM this morning, officers from District A-1 (Downtown Boston) responded to the area of 150 Kneeland Street for a complaint of loud music and also due to past incidents of fights and people loitering in the area.

On arrival, officers started tending to some cars that were loitering and playing loud music when they heard a vehicle tires screeching and next observed a black Cadillac SUV cut off a BMW sedan in the middle of the street.  It seemed to officers from their vantage point that the two parties were yelling at each other in relation to a traffic dispute. Officers, being somewhat distant from the two parties who were arguing, entered their car to get the parties moving when the operator of the Cadillac exited his vehicle and ran toward the operator of the BMW. Before officers could reach the disputing parties, officers observed them engaged in a physical altercation. By the time officers reached the feuding parties, one of the parties to the fight had sustained several stab wounds.

Officers disarmed the suspect at gunpoint and ordered him to the ground while EMS was rushed to the scene for the victim. The victim, a 26 year old male from Boston, was transported to Tufts Medical Center with life threatening injuries but was subsequently upgraded to non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect, Juan C. Alejandro, 32 of Boston was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Murder and Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
