BOSTON POLICE CONTINUE TO INVESTIGATE MISSING PERSON – 25 YEAR OLD EUGENE LOSIK : SEE IMAGES

Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance for Information

The Boston Police Department continues to investigate the disappearance of 25 year old Eugene Losik. Mr. Losik was reported missing on February 20, 2010. Detectives encourage anyone who may have information about Eugene Losik’s whereabouts to please contact authorities. In addition, investigators are providing two photographs of Mr. Losik that were obtained from hotel security cameras.

Incident Description:

On February 20, 2010, Eugene Losik’s girlfriend contacted police to file a missing persons report. She stated that they were staying at the Marriott Long Wharf. After an evening at a local bar in Faneuil Hall, they returned to the hotel. At approximately 1:00am, Losik left the hotel room and went to meet a friend from earlier in the evening. His friend reports that they walked around Faneuil Hall for about 30 minutes and then returned to the hotel. His friend reports that he hailed a taxi to head home and last saw Mr. Losik standing in front of the hotel. According to the police report, the friend assumed that Eugene was planning to head back to his hotel room.

At approximately 6:00am, Eugene’s girlfriend awoke to realize that he had not returned to the hotel room. She reports that she made numerous calls to family, friends, local hospitals and police stations to no avail.

At the time of his disappearance, Mr. Losik is described as a White male, 25 years old, wearing a black mid-length jacket, grey T-shirt, blue jeans and black dress shoes.

As the investigation continues, Boston Police have been working cooperatively with the Boston Fire and Quincy Police dive teams using thermal imaging technology and side scan sonar to conduct extensive underwater searches of Boston Harbor.
