KICKING BUS WINDOWS GETS ONE ARRESTED DOWNTOWN

At about 1:47am, on Friday, July 31, 2010, officers from Area A-1 (Downtown) responded to a call for a person kicking out bus windows in the area of State and Broad Streets. On arrival, officers spoke to the bus driver who stated the suspect walked up to the bus and then proceeded to kick in two of the bus windows. Officers located the suspect. When asked to explain why he kicked in the windows, the suspect stated that he did it for no reason. Officers arrested John Flor, 27, of Florida and charged him with Willful & Malicious Destruction of Property.  

POLICE ARREST THREE SLASHING TIRES IN BRIGHTON

At approximately 2:30am, on Saturday, July 31, 2010, officers from Area D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for a disturbance in the area of Commonwealth Ave and Malvern Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that as he exited his car, three individuals approached and, stating that they were homeless, began asking for money. According to the victim, when he refused, the suspects began to threaten physical activity. Moreover, a witness observed one of the three suspects take a knife and slash into the victim’s rear tire. Officers located and took possession of a knife that had traces of rubber on it. Officers arrested three individuals and charged all three with the Willful & Malicious Destruction of Property.  

GRAFFITI LANDS ONE IN POLICE CUSTODY

At about 3:30am, on Saturday, July 31, 2010, officers from Area D-4 (South End) were on patrol in the area of 300 Huntington Ave when they observed an individual in the process of defacing property via graffiti with what appeared to be a Sharpie marker. After observing what looked to be freshly made markings on the front of the building, officers arrested Greg McCrossan, 19, of Boston and charged him with Vandalism by Graffiti. A search of the suspect incident to the lawful arrest enabled officers to locate and take possession of several Sharpie bold point markers.
