Around 2:13AM today, officers from District D-14 (Allston/Brighton) responded to 31 Egremont Rd. in Brighton for armed robbery.
On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who reported that he was walking when three Hispanic males approached him, held a knife to his throat and stole a number of personal belongings from him, including his I-Pod, and wallet containing a number of his personal identifications including his debit card, and $20 in cash. The suspect provided officers with a description of the suspects along with their direction of flight which was broadcast to other units in the area.
Officers then searched the area and within a short time located two individuals matching the suspects’ descriptions. These two suspects were stopped and the victim brought to the location for a possible identification. The victim upon seeing the suspects positively identified them. During further investigation into the incident, officers found two knives, one of which was located on a suspect.
Suspect, Jonathon Garcia, 19, of Bronx, NY and Maykor Baez, 17, of Roslindale were arrested and charged with Armed Robbery.
