The Boston Police Department is actively seeking two suspects who are responsible for the stabbing of a victim on Friday, June 25, 2010 around 8:30PM in the area of Charles and River Streets in Boston.
Incident Description:
At approximately 8:30PM, officers from District A-1 (Downtown Boston) responded to the area of Charles and River Streets for a stabbing. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that he had walked into the 7-11 convenience store at the corner of Mt. Vernon and Charles Street for change and walked out of the store. The victim further explained that as he walked away from the store and approached the corner of Mt. Vernon and River Streets, an unknown black male came up from behind him and put him in a headlock. A second black male suspect then approached him, standing directly in front of him, produced a knife and started assaulting him with a knife all the while demanding that the victim give him the money. The victim reported that the suspect holding in the headlock attempted to reach into his pocket but was unable to get the money he had in his pocket. The victim reported that the suspects released their grip on him and fled and when he started yelling for help. Another witness, who was waiting for the victim in his car, reported that she heard someone yelling for help and when she exited her car, she observed the victim getting assaulted. The witness then ran to the victim’s aid at which she observed one of the suspects walk away in the middle of River Street.
The victim was transported to by ambulance to Massachusetts General Hospital by ambulance suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
A search of the area was conducted for the suspects to no avail.
