Disorderly Passenger Gets Arrested During Traffic Stop

At approximately 1:45AM today, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested suspect, LaShanwanta P. Armstrong, 24 of Dorchester and charged her with Disorderly Conduct, Indecent Exposure and Assault and Battery on Police Officers.

The suspect came to be under arrest after a car she was a passenger in was stopped due to a traffic violation. The suspect was rude and disrespectful to officers calling them derogatory names when the driver was directed to pull over. While the car was stopped, officers observed the suspect exit the car and lost sight of her.  Shortly thereafter officers noticed the suspect squatting down on the sidewalk urinating in plain view of a large group of passersby who had just exited a club that had just closed at 474 River St. in Mattapan.  The suspect was then placed under arrest for Indecent Exposure and when the suspect was being placed in a police car she spat on officers and continued to create a disturbance drawing the attention of club-goers who had just exited the club.
