Last night around 6:11PM, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to the area of Dearborn and Eustis Streets for Shot Spotter activation.

On arrival, officers located a 15-year old male victim suffering from a non-life threatening injury to the leg. The victim was treated on scene and transported to Boston Medical center for further treatment.

On scene, officers were able to speak to witnesses who gave officers excellent descriptions of the suspects’ motor vehicle (a dark colored car with a partial plate of either 613 or 633), the suspects (two black males) and their direction of flight (toward Melnea Cass Boulevard).  Based on those descriptions, officers were able to conduct a traffic stop of a vehicle matching the suspects’ car description along with two occupants in the area of 233 Quincy Street.  

During the traffic stop, officers noticed that the operator was extremely nervous, breathing heavy and repeatedly handing officers a credit card when asked for his license. The passenger kept trying to interject in the conversation between the officer and driver exclaiming that he was just going home and lived right there. Both occupants were removed from the car and frisked for the presence of a weapon. During a pat frisk of the driver, officers recovered a firearm with six spent casings from the driver. Both occupants were asked to produce a license to carry which neither could do and as a result suspects, Chester A. Johnson, 24 and Terrence L. Blalock, 27, both of Dorchester were arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Discharging a Firearm within 500’ of a Dwelling, Possession of a Loaded Firearm and Assault with Intent to Murder.
