Man Arrested by Detail Officer after Bruins Game

On Monday, May 10, 2010, at approximately 9:46pm, a Boston Police Officer was working a paid detail at the TD Garden for the Bruin’s game. The officer was approached by an individual who reported a disturbance being created by a male within the MBTA station.

The officer walked over to the MBTA station and located the suspect male individual. Officers engaged the suspect in conversation and he was uncooperative and loud. He continued to cause a disturbance which caused the attention of hundreds of Bruins fans to be alerted while they were attempting to leave. The suspect continued to refuse repeated orders for him to quiet down. Officers then observed the suspect to be in possession of a ‘box cutter’ style razor knife affixed to his pants pocket.

Officers then arrested Brian English, 24, of Reading on the charges of Disturbing the Peace and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon.
