POLICE ARREST TWO ARMED ROBBERS IN THE AREA OF THE FENWAY

About 2:08am on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, officers from Area D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for an armed robbery in the area of 109 Queensberry Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that two males (one a Hispanic male in his 20’s wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, the other a black male in his early 20’s wearing black) approached, showed a firearm and demanded money. The victim says the suspects took his wallet and backpack and then fled on foot in the direction of Jersey Street. A search of the area enabled officers to locate two individuals who matched the description of the suspects. A pat frisk of the suspects enabled officers to locate and take possession of a bb gun.

While officers were questioning the suspects, the victim was brought to the scene for identification purposes. Upon seeing the suspects, the victim stated, “That’s them.” A search incident to the lawful arrest enabled officers to locate several credit cards belonging to the victim. Moreover, a search of the immediate area enabled officers to locate the victim’s backpack. 

Officers arrested Jeremy Rosa, 19, of Boston and Belioth Marcelin, 23, of Dedham and charged both with Armed Robbery.

POLICE ARREST TWO MORE ARMED ROBBERS IN BRIGHTON 

At about 5:06pm, on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, officers from Area D-14 (Brigthon) responded to a radio call for an armed robbery in the area of 93 Williston Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that he was assaulted and robbed by a person who lives in his building. According to the victim, the suspect and an accomplice entered his apartment, roughed him up and stole his money. During the robbery, the victim says that the suspect showed a knife. With the robbery completed, the victim says the suspects ordered him to leave the location. Once outside, the victim called police. Officers noted and observed that the victim had abrasions on his face and neck. Officers were able to locate the suspect and his accomplice inside the location.

Officers arrested Ariel Halevy, 23, of Boston and Yehuda Halevy, 25, of Boston and charged both with Armed Robbery.

SEARCH WARRANT LEADS TO GUN ARREST IN DORCHESTER

At approximately 4:00pm, on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester)executed a search warrant at 91 Florida Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers observed and located the suspect who was target of the investigation. Officers approached the suspect, advised him of the warrant and then accompanied the suspect into the above mentioned location. Once inside the location, officers observed and took possession of a loaded firearm and several drugs.

Officers arrested John Lawrence, 28, of Boston and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Ammunition and Possession of a Class B Substance.
