Yesterday, Sunday, April 25, 2010 around 5:42PM, officers arrested a 14 year-old male juvenile from Dorchester and charged him with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
The arrest was initiated when a victim called reporting that someone had pointed a gun at her while she was stopped at a light at the intersection of Geneva and Blue Hill Avenues. The victim further reported that while she was waiting for the light, she observed three young black males and one of them, described as being 5’5”-5’8” wearing a black backpack, and a red shirt with the number 40, noticed her looking at them. That suspect then pulled out a firearm from his waist and pointed it towards her. The victim stated that she became extremely frightened and took off in her car. The victim then reported to officers that as she pulled away, she observed the suspect along with his two companions running onto Washington Street.
A description of the suspect along with his companions was broadcast and a short time later, officers stopped three individuals matching the suspects’ descriptions in the area of 67 Washington Street. At the stop, officers attempted to conduct a pat frisk of the suspect for purposes of locating a firearm. The suspect continued to move and reach for his waistband during the pat frisk until he was secured. Once secured, officers found a replica firearm in the suspect’s bag. The victim was transported to the location of the suspect and positively identified him as the one who had pointed the firearm at her.
