Last night around 10:08PM, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a radio call for a robbery in progress from the McDonald’s located at 3064 Washington Street.

On arrival, officers spoke to a McDonald’s employee who reported that the suspect attempted to steal the from the drivethru window. According to the McDonald’s employee, the suspect opened the opened the drive thru window and then attempted to pull the cash register through the window. The suspect dropped the cash register when the restaurant employees observed him and fled from the scene pursued by store employees. The store employee while chasing the suspect, observed a State trooper whom he flagged down and who then took on the pursuit.

The suspect, Darryl Hart, 44, of Roxbury was pursued and caught inside a Laundromat located at 3050 Washington Street. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with Attempted Larceny after he was positively identified by witnesses.
