DAILY INCIDENTS FOR SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2009

BREAKING CAR WINDOWS LANDS ONE IN POLICE CUSTODY IN BRIGHTONAt about 2:58am, on Sunday, September 27, 2009, officers from Area D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for an individual breaking car windows in the area of Linden Street and Commonwealth Ave. On arrival, officers observed a white male sitting on a car with cuts and bruises on his hands. Officers further observed three motor vehicles with broken windshields or windows. According to witnesses, the suspect had broken the windows by throwing rocks at them. When asked to explain his actions, the suspect stated, “I didn’t do anything.”
Officers arrested a 20 year-old male from Boston and charged him with the Willful & Malicious Destruction of Property (Over $250.00).
DRINKING OUT OF A CUP DOESN’T MAKE IT LEGAL
At about 12:16am, on Saturday, September 26, 2009, officers from Area D-14 (Brighton) were on patrol when they observed two individuals drinking alcohol in public at the intersection of Ashford Street and Ashford Terrace. When officers approached the individuals, they quickly dropped the red cups they were seen drinking from. When asked to provide identification, both individuals complied. Upon inspecting the ids, officers learned that the individuals were under the legal age for consuming alcohol.
Officers arrested an 18 year-old male and a 17 year-old male and charged both with Drinking in Public and Being Minors in Possession of Alcohol.
