On September 10, 2009, at approximately 11:38am, members of the Boston Police Drug Unit received information about an employee selling drugs from a store (AJ Wright) on Geneva Avenue in Dorchester. With full cooperation and assistance from store management, detectives conducted an investigation and set up surveillance inside the store. Officers observed a white male enter the store and walk immediately to the fitting room where the suspected employee was working. The white male appeared to hand money to the suspected employee and then she showed him to a fitting room. The white male then exited the fitting room and left the store with his right hand in his pants pocket. Officers stopped the white male after he exited the store and three plastic bags of beige powder believed to be heroin were recovered from his right pants pocket. The white male then admitted to officers that he just purchased the three bags from the suspected female employee. The suspected female was then placed in custody and found to have six more plastic bags of heroin in her possession.The white male will be summons into Dorchester District Court for Possession of Class A Drugs. The female employee, Kathleen Day, 59, of Mattapan, will be charged with Distribution of Class A Drugs, Distribution of Class A Drugs in a School Zone, Possession of Class A Drugs With Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Class A Drugs With Intent to Distribute in a School Zone.
