WHO: Mayor Thomas M. Menino, Police Commissioner Edward F. Davis,District Attorney Daniel F. Conley, Boston Latin Headmaster Lynne Mooney Teta, Retired Superintendent In Chief Al Goslin (MC), BPD Command Staff and BPD Members, Family and friends, BPD Department Chaplains (Reverend Gregory Groover and Reverend Sean Connor).
WHAT: The Boston Police Department will appoint Daniel P. Linskey to Superintendent in Chief. The ceremony will open with the Honor Guard and Gaelic Column. The National Anthem will be performed by Boston Police Officer Stephen McNulty. Remarks will be provided by Mayor Menino and other distinguished guests. Police Commissioner Davis will administer the Oath of Office.

FYI: Chief Linskey has 23 years of distinguished service with the Boston Police Department, serving in patrol, investigative and training assignments, notably his dedicated years in the drug control unit and his appointment to the command staff as a Deputy Superintendent in 2006 and a Superintendent in 2007.
