BOSTON POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN THEIR EFFORTS TO IDENTIFY SUSPECTS WANTED IN CONNECTION WITH DOUBLE SHOOTING ON HANCOCK STREET IN DORCHESTER

At approximately 1:10am, on Sunday, August 2, 2009, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 33 Hancock Street (Ka-Carlos Bar). On arrival, officers located a 47 year-old male, hereinafter referred to as victim #1, inside the location suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced on the scene.At about the same time, officers located a 2nd victim, a 20 year-old male, outside the location in the area of 8 Bird Street, suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. The 2nd victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced.
According to witnesses, an altercation began inside the premise. Witnesses further stated that as the altercation moved its way outside, witnesses say they could hear shots being fired. One of those shots struck victim #1.
At approximately 2:15am, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to the Boston Medical Center for a report of a 3rd victim self applying with a gunshot wound to the leg. On arrival, officers located and observed a 23 year-old male suffering from a non-life threatening injury.
