DAILY INCIDENTS FOR TUESDAY, JULY 28, 2009

Man Arrested For Attempting to Break Into CarsOn Monday, July 27, at approximately 1:40am, officers assigned to Area C-6 (South Boston), responded to the area of 36 Roseclair Street for a breaking & entering into a motor vehicle in progress.
Officers learned that the owner of a black Infiniti was in his residence when he head a loud noise coming from outside. He then proceeded to his balcony and observed a male attempting to open his driver’s side door. Another witness observed this same male walking down the street checking car doors.
The vehicle’s owner was able to give officers a detailed description of the suspect and he was located nearby. The vehicle’s owner was able to positively identify him and the suspect was placed into custody.
Officers arrested Jonathan Hookom, 29, of Boston on the charges of Attempted Breaking & Entering a Motor Vehicle.
Verbal Altercation Leads to Home Invasion….Two Arrested
On Monday, July 27, 2009, at approximately 11:17pm, officers assigned to Area B-2 (Roxbury), responded to the area of 42 Hartwell Street for a report of a fight.
Officers arrived on-scene and spoke with the victim / caller who stated that a group had just broken into his house by kicking his front door down and threatening to kill him and his friends. He went on to state that earlier in the day he had several people over the house for a small party. A verbal altercation ensued between two black females, one black male and the occupants of the house. The three parties were asked to leave and they did so. Shortly thereafter, the occupants of the house heard their front door being kicked down. Two black females and a black male then entered. The occupants of the house fled and hid within the house. The intruders ran about the house looking for the residents. The black male continued to gesture towards his waistband as if he had a firearm and stated, “We’re going to shoot and stab everyone in here.” The resident of the house was able to call 911 which forced the intruders to flee when they heard the arrival of the officers.
The victims were able to supply officers with a description of the suspects and two of them were located nearby. They were placed into custody after being positively identified.
Officers arrested Asya Marve, 23 of Boston and Paulette Elder, 23 of Stoughton on the charges of Armed Home Invasion.
