Detail Officer Arrests Motorist After Driving Into Work Zone Without License On Thursday, June 18, 2009, at approximately 9:09pm, an officer assigned out of Area C-11 (Dorchester), was working a road detail in the area of Freeport Street @ Linden Street when he observed a red Chevy Cavalier proceeding towards him and the work crew he was attempting to divert vehicular traffic around.
The officer gave the motorist several verbal and visual instructions to avoid the work zone by turning right onto Freeport Street but he continued to operate his motor vehicle towards the officer. The Officer then conducted a motor vehicle stop of the individual and requested his license and registration. The operator was unable to produce a driver’s license and gave him several different names. The operator’s true identification was eventually learned. A computer check of the suspect was conducted through the Registry of Motor Vehicles and discovered he did not possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle.
Officers arrested Jose Luis Aceytuno, 24, of Boston on the charges of Unlicensed Operation a Motor Vehicle and Providing a False Name to a Police Officer.
