Man Charged in “Drive-Thru” Accident at Pizza PlaceOn Sunday, June 14, 2009, at approximately 3:15pm, Officers assigned to Area E-13 (Jamaica Plain), responded to 3080 Washington Street (Egleston Pizza) for a report of a vehicle that crashed into the building.
Officers arrived on-scene and located a black male being treated by Boston EMS. Witnesses informed officers that the black male suspect was operating a Grey Ford Explorer on Washington Street in an erratic manner when he lost control and crashed into the pizza store. Officers noticed his vehicle sustained front end damage as a result of the crash. Damage was also observed to the brick building. The operator of the vehicle was transported to the Brigham and Women’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers observed a cardboard license plate on the suspect vehicle. A check of the registration showed the vehicle to be unregistered and uninsured. The operator’s license status had also been suspended.
The operator was identified as Eugenio Mores, 56 of Boston. He will be summonsed to court on the charges Operating a Motor Vehicle after License Suspension, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle on a Public Way, Operating an Unregistered Motor vehicle on a Public Way and Attaching False Plates.
