Search Warrant Yields Ammunition and Crack Cocaine During the month of March 2009, C-11 (Dorchester) drug control officers learned of an illegal crack cocaine distribution operation taking place at 107 Alban Street, Dorchester. They also learned it was being operated by a black male known as “Chris”. The true identity of this individual was later discovered to be Dexter Andrews. An investigation was launched that resulted in the issuance of a search warrant for 107 Alban Street as well as Mr. Andrews.
On Wednesday, June 10, 2009, C-11 (Dorchester) drug control officers and uniformed patrol officers proceeded to 107 Alban Street in order to execute the above-mentioned search warrant. Officers made a peaceful entry into the residence and located the target of the investigation within.
A search of the property was conducted and the following items were located: (12) plastic bags of crack cocaine, Personal papers in the name of Dexter Andrews, An undisclosed amount of currency, Forty-Nine (49) live rounds of nine-millimeter ammunition, Numerous clear plastic sandwich style bags (commonly used in the packaging of illegal narcotics) and a Digital scale (commonly used in the weighing of illegal narcotics prior to packaging).
Officers arrested Dexter Andrews, 35, of Boston on the charges of Illegal Possession of a Class B substance (crack cocaine) With Intent to Distribute and Illegal Possession of Ammunition.
Officers Arrest “Hooker & John” In the Act Within a Limousine Bus
On Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at approximately 9:45pm, Officers assigned to Area C-11 (Dorchester), were in the area of Dorchester Avenue when they observed a female they knew to be a prostitute. This immediate area has experienced concerns related to prostitution as of late. Officers monitored the female’s activities and observed her engage in a conversation with a lone male operator of a parked limousine bus. After a brief conversation the female entered the limousine and the vehicle proceeded down Dewar Street and parked along the side of the road.
Officers exited their unmarked cruiser and discretely walked to the parked Limousine. Officers were afforded a view into the vehicle and observed the two engaged in sexual activity. The officers announced their presence and had both parties step from the vehicle. The female informed officers that the male engaged her in conversation on Dorchester Avenue and requested sex. The two then negotiated a price and agreed on a fee for oral sex.
Officers arrested Kelly Rivera, 40, of Quincy and Scott Smith, 46, of Weymouth on the charges of Sex for a Fee.
Man Arrested After Robbing Young Girl Of Her Cellular Phone
On Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at approximately 9:02pm, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force were patrolling in Dorchester when a call for a robbery in progress came out for Morse Street / Washington Street. Dispatch broadcast a detailed description of the suspect and he was spotted shortly thereafter in the area of 7 Morse Street. Officers detained the suspect in order to investigate further.
Meanwhile, the young female victim was located on Washington Street and informed officers that she was approached by a black male (late teens) who grabbed her cellular phone from her hand. She stated she did not know the identity of this individual and sustained a scratch to her neck during the incident. She further stated that the suspect ran down Morse Street right after the robbery. The victim was then transported to the location where the suspect was being detained in order to conduct an identification. Upon her arrival, she was able to positively identify the black male suspect as the same person who robbed her of her phone.
The suspect was placed into custody and a phone was discovered hidden within the crotch area of his underwear. The victim was able to identify the phone as hers.
Officers arrested Damien Oliver, 17, of Boston on the charges of Unarmed Robbery.
