STABBING VICTIM SUCCUMBS TO INJURIESSUSTAINED DURING A MAY 3rd INCIDENT
Homicide Victim Identified
On May 3, 2009 at approximately 3:43am, officers responded to a radio call for a stabbing at 349 Dudley Street in Roxbury. Officers learned upon arrival that two individuals had been stabbed. The two victims had self-applied to Boston Medical Center. One victim, a 20 year old Hispanic male, suffered multiple life-threatening stab wounds. The second victim, a 19 year old Hispanic male, suffered a non-life threatening stab wound to the hip. The 20 year old victim has since been pronounced as a result of the injuries sustained. The victim has been identified as John Paul Torres, 21, of Mattapan.
Officers located and secured the crime scene in the parking lot of 349 Dudley Street. At that time, detectives responded to BMC where there were reports of two walk-in stab victims.
Multiple witnesses were transported from the scene for questioning. The Homicide Unit continues to actively investigate this incident.
The Boston Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances of this incident.
