Last night around 7:18PM, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to 538 Talbot Ave. for a person stabbed.On arrival, officers located a 74-year-old man suffering from a stab wound inside an apartment at that location. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center via ambulance suffering life threatening injuries where he later succumbed to his injuries.
As a result of a speedy but thorough investigation, Boston Police Homicide detectives arrested suspect, Verna Sewell, 64, of Dorchester this morning and charged her with Murder.
The suspect is expected to be arraigned at Dorchester District on Monday, May 11, 2009.
