Armed Robbery Suspects ArrestedYesterday evening around 6:58PM, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested two suspects, a 14 year old male juvenile from Roxbury and a 15 year old male juvenile from Dorchester and charged them with Unarmed Robbery and Assault and Battery on a Person under 14 years of Age.
Officers initially responded to Howland Street for a robbery report that had occurred around 5:30PM. On scene, officers spoke to the victim and learned that she was walking from the bus stop when she was approached from behind at the intersection of Waumbeck and Crawford Streets and pushed to the ground. After being pushed to the ground, the victim stated that three described males went through her pockets and took her cell phone. The victim then told officers that the suspects fled into the Crawford St. playground after robbing her. The victim then went on to tell officers that she recognized one of the suspects and he often hangs out at the playground on Crawford Street.
Officers, despite the time that had elapsed since the robbery, decided to take the victim to canvass the area to see if they could locate the suspects. While canvassing the area, officers drove by the Crawford St. playground and observed three males similarly dressed as the suspects’ description given by the victim. Officers stopped the vehicle and the victim was able to positively identify two of the three males. After both suspects were placed in restraints, one of the suspects pointed at the other and exclaimed “…he was the one that robbed her!”
Unruly Fan Arrested for Raining Yellow
Last night around 9:55PM, officers performing a detail at Fenway Park were directed to a fan by Fenway Security.
Officers responded to the location of the fan and there noticed that he was unsteady on his feet, had glassy eyes and had urine on the front of his pants. Officers learned that the fan had been observed urinating from the second tier walkway onto a car parked below on the street at the end of the game while fans were leaving the park at the conclusion of the game. The fan’s actions were observed by the thousands of fans walking out with him as well as others standing on the street below where he urinated on a parked car.
The suspect, David A. Kennedy, 26, of Somerville was arrested and charged with Open and Gross Lewdness.
