Victim Takes Photo Of Armed Robbers License Plate As He FleesOn Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at approximately 2:06pm, Officers responded to 10 Forsyth Street for a report of a robbery in progress. Officers arrived on-scene and located the victim, who informed them that a male and female robbed her and a friend, as they walked on Hemenway Street. She went on to state that the two suspects first asked for a cigarette before punching her several times.The male suspect then produced a baseball bat and held it over his head, gesturing he was going to strike them with it. The suspects then stole the victim’s purse and ran away.
The victim and witnesses followed the suspects as they ran down Hemenway Street. They were able to detain the female suspect but the male suspect got into a black ford truck and fled the scene. One of the witnesses removed his cellular phone and took a photograph of the suspects’ license plate. Officers gave out a description of the vehicle and well as its registration. Officers were shown the photograph of the offender’s plate number. The female was placed into custody on-scene.
Officers on Massachusetts Avenue spotted the suspect vehicle and conducted a stop as it approached Albany Street. The male operator was removed from the vehicle and the victim and witnesses positively identified him. A baseball bat and the victim’s purse were located within his vehicle. A search of the vehicle also produced a bag of marijuana and an amount of crack cocaine.
Officers arrested Marie Oneill, 26, of Weymouth and Thomas Slavin, 27, of Norwell on the charges of Armed Robbery, Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana) and Possession of a Class B Substance (crack cocaine).
Suspect Arrested After Firing Gunshots In The Air…Firearm Seized
On Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at approximately 3:30am, Officers assigned to Area C-11 (Dorchester), responded to the area of 129 Tonawanda Street for a report of shots fired.
Officers arrived on-scene and immediately detected the fresh odor of gunshot powder, consistent with that of a recently fired firearm. Officers located a witness, who informed them, that she observed a light skinned, Hispanic male, wearing a black shirt with white letters, hold a firearm up in the air and fire multiple shots. The suspect fled the area in a black four-door vehicle.
Shortly thereafter, Officers observed a similar vehicle traveling in the area of Columbia Road. The vehicle was stopped and the occupants were removed. A loaded Highpoint .9mm firearm was located within the front passenger’s area of the vehicle.
Officers arrested Omar Olwyn Seguinot, 30, of Boston and Alexis Mejia, 22, of Boston on the charges Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Discharging a Firearm Within 500 feet of a Dwelling and Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm.
