Officers Arrest Robbery SuspectOn March 26, 2009, at approximately 9:30pm, a female was walking in the area of Mount Vernon Street when three individuals approached her. One of the suspects brandished a knife before they grabbed the victim’s purse from her hands. The suspects then fled on foot. She later described the suspects to police, two being male, one being a female. A search of the area was conducted to no avail.
On Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at approximately 2:10pm, the victim from the above-mentioned incident was within a store on Washington Street when she observed the female suspect that had robbed her on March 26, 2009. The victim phoned BPD and officers responded. The victim pointed the suspect out to the officers and she was placed into custody.
Officers arrested Sadaqah Rashid-Rice, 19 of Boston on the charges of Armed Robbery.
