Call for B&E to Car Results in Two Firearms Being RecoveredAbout 1:42AM on Saturday, March 12, 2009, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to 10 Rockledge St. for a report of a male breaking into a car.
On arrival, officers observed the described car parked in the driveway of 10 Rockledge St. occupied by two individuals. As officers neared the car, two individuals quickly exited the car and started walking in different directions. Officers noted that the male who exited the driver seat of the motor vehicle had quickly leaned to his left prior to walking away from the car. Both individuals were stopped as they walked from the car to further investigate the call. One officer that had walked to the car observed in plain view a gun sticking out from underneath the passenger seat.
Both passengers were then stopped and during a subsequent search, another gun was found on top of the right ear tire. Thermal imaging was done on both guns, which determined that both guns had recently been handled.
Suspects, Conchetta S. Martin, 27, and Teneal Wilson, 27, both of Roxbury were arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Unlawful possession of a Loaded Firearm.
Catching a Cab when Drunk…Not Always a Good Idea
Last night around 10:38PM, officers from District E-5 (West Roxbury) responded to 1708 Centre Street in West Roxbury to investigate a person.
On arrival, officers spoke to a cab driver/victim who reported that he had picked two individuals from the Pleasant Café at located at the intersection of Washington and Beech Streets. The victim/cab driver reported that he dropped one of the individuals off at the intersection of Lagrange and Cowing Streets and continued with one of the two individuals still in the car. The victim stated that he continued with one of the two in the car and when he got in the area of Washington was asked to stop and let out the other passenger. The victim stated that the suspect then attempted to get out of the car without paying. The victim reported that he then told the suspect that he had to pay and was told by the victim that the other male had paid.
Per victim, when he told the suspect that he had to pay, the suspect reached through the plexi-glass, and grabbed the victim by the neck ripping off his gold necklace. The victim then reported to officers that the suspect kicked out the rear window. The victim, at this time, drove to the district station where the suspect was removed from the car.
Officers attempted to speak to the suspect but due to his level intoxication were unable to get a coherent statement from her. The suspect, Edward G. McDonagh, 42, of West Roxbury was arrested and charged with Malicious Destruction of Property, and Assault and Battery.
B&E Suspects Caught and Arrested
This morning around 2:17AM, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to 196 Neponset Ave. in Dorchester for a breaking and entering in progress. En route, officers were provided with a description of the victim’s car, the suspect’s description and his direction of flight.
On arrival, officers spoke to the caller/witness who reported that she was awakened by the sound of glass breaking and looked outside and noticed that the passenger side of a nearby-parked car was smashed. The witness then noticed a suspect standing next to the car with something wrapped in his arms. According to the witness, the suspect then ducked out of sight momentarily then came back into sight, went back to the car window and apparently took something from the car and took off running.
While officers were on scene speaking to the witness and later the owner of the car, other officers searched the area that the suspect had been seen fleeing after receiving more specific suspect description. During the search, officers located an individual matching the suspect description on Train Street. The suspect was brought back to the scene where he was positively identified by the witness as the person she had seen going in the car.
The suspect, Randy Broxton, 23, of South Boston was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle and Larceny of Motor Vehicle Accessories over $200.00.
