Two Arrested After School Bus Stabbing

On Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at approximately 1:56pm, Officers assigned to Area C-6 (South Boston), responded to the area of 166 I Street for a report of a person stabbed. Upon arrival, Officers observed an upset female victim.The female victim (15) informed officers that a Black male & Black female attacked her on her way home on the school bus. She went on to state that the Black male had previously stolen her I-Pod approximately two weeks ago. During the bus ride, the victim recognized the suspect and approached him about the previous incident. The male suspect refused to give her back her I-Pod and then the Black female that was accompanying the male suspect attacked the victim. The victim was assaulted before being stabbed. The male suspect then stole the victim’s cellular phone. Both suspects jumped from the bus through the rear emergency exit door. The victim then called to the bus driver to stop the bus to which she complied. At that time, the police were contacted and received detailed suspect description.
Boston E.M.S transported the victim to Boston Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
Shortly thereafter, Officers located two individuals fitting the description in the area of 66 Middle Street. The suspects were detained and a positive identification of them was made. A search of the suspects produced the victim’s stolen property.
Officers arrested Sameisha Smith, 17, of Boston on the charges of Armed Robbery (knife), Assault & Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (shod foot) and Assault & Battery. Also arrested was a Sixteen-Year-Old (16), Juvenile Male, of Boston on the charges of Juvenile Delinquency to Wit: Armed Robbery and Juvenile Delinquency to Wit: Assault & Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (knife).
