Triple Shooting On Mt. Ida Claims Three VictimsHomicide Victims Identified
At approximately 4:07am on Sunday, March 29, 2009, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to 41 Mt. Ida Road in Dorchester for a report of shots fired via the Shotspotter. Upon arrival officers located three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Upon arrival officers confirmed that there were multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Two victims, a male and a female, were pronounced on scene. A second female was transported to Boston Medical Center where she was soon pronounced as a result of her injuries.
The victims have been identified as Anthony Peoples, 19, of Boston; Shacora Gaines, 20, of Brockton and Chantal Palmer, 20, of Brockton.
The victims were sitting in a vehicle outside a party on Mt. Ida Road when the shooting incident occurred. Further information suggests that there was an altercation prior to the incident.
