West Roxbury Search Warrant Yields Drugs, Gun & MoneyOn Friday, March 27, 2009, at approximately 6:41pm, Drug detectives assigned to Area E-5 (West Roxbury), traveled to 118 Edgemere Road in order to execute a search warrant related to the illegal distribution of crack cocaine.
Detectives conducted pre-raid surveillance of the location and observed the target of the investigation leave the property and enter his vehicle and proceed out of the area. The suspect was detained after his vehicle was stopped. It should be noted that Area E-5 detectives also obtained search warrants for the target of the investigation and his vehicle.
Detectives then conducted a search of the target’s residence, 118 Edgemere Road, West Roxbury. As a result of the search, the following items were located: A loaded 9mm Ruger Firearm, two (2) large capacity magazines (loaded), a tazer or “stun gun”, a digital scale, a surveillance camera, numerous packaging materials, numerous plastic bags of crack cocaine (totaling approximately fifty four (54) grams) and numerous personal papers in the name of the suspect.
Officers arrested Allen McKelton, 37, of Boston on the charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle After License Revocation, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a High Capacity Feeding Device, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Trafficking Class B Substance (crack cocaine) in Excess of Twenty Eight (28) grams and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (stun gun).
Area B-3 Officers Wrestle Man To Ground With Gun
On Sunday, March 29, 2009, officers assigned to Area B-3 (Mattapan), responded to 782 Morton Street for a report of a man with a gun. While en-route, officers received a detailed description of the suspect.
Upon arrival, officers observed an individual fitting the description walking on Norfolk Street. The suspect continued to adjust himself in a manner consistent with an individual carrying a firearm. The suspect noticed the officers’ presence and hurried his pace towards Blue Hill Avenue. Officers approached the suspect and he attempted to flee. The Officers took hold of the suspect and a violent struggle ensued. During the altercation, officers observed a firearm clearly displayed from his waistband. The suspect continued to reach for the firearm while fighting with officers. The officers were able to disarm the suspect and place him into custody.
Officers later learned the suspect went to the caller\’s house and pointed the firearm at the residents.
Officers arrested Dean Clarke, 31, of Boston on the charges of Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (gun), Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Resisting Arrest.
