DAILY INCIDENTS FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 29, 2009

POLICE ARREST ONE FOR UNLAWFULLY CARRYING A FIREARM At about 1:48am, on Saturday, March 28, 2009, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) were on patrol when they observed three males acting suspiciously in the area of Blue Hill Ave and McLellan Street. Specifically, officers noted that two of the suspects appeared to be out of breath and sweating. Given the fact that a radio call for shots fired had been broadcast several minutes earlier, officers decided to approach the individuals. While speaking to the individuals, officers further noted that one of the individuals was sweating profusely.
When officers asked if anyone was in possession of weapons, none of the individuals answered. Fearing the presence of a firearm, officers proceeded to pat frisk the individuals and their outer clothing. As a result of the frisk, officers located and seized a firearm from one of the suspects. When the suspect was asked to produce a license to carry a firearm, the suspect stated he could not.
Officers arrested Stephen Wright, 18, of Boston and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and the Possession of a Firearm with an Altered Serial Number.
