Roxbury Drug Control Officers Seize Cocaine, Money, Gun & Ammunition During recent time, BPD Area B-2 (Roxbury) Drug Control Officers have been investigating an illegal crack cocaine distribution operation emanating out of 97 Ruthven Street, Roxbury. Through their efforts, it was learned that Tommy Hubbard was the target of the investigation. It was also learned that he was residing in the target location with an unknown female that was utilizing a White Lincoln Town car.
Officers applied for and received a search warrant for 97 Ruthven Street through Roxbury District Court. On Monday, March 16, 2009 Area B-2 officers set up pre-raid surveillance of 97 Ruthven Street in anticipation of executing the above-mentioned search warrant. At approximated 1:00pm, Officers observed a White Lincoln Town car arrive in the general area containing the target of the investigation, Tommy Hubbard, along with his female associate, Jemison Rolanda. The pair exited the vehicle and approached the target location on foot. Officers approached the couple and informed them of their investigation. Two sets of keys for 97 Ruthven Street were obtained from the suspects and a peaceful entry into the residence was gained.
Officers then conducted a search of the premises and located the following property; Numerous plastic bags of crack cocaine (totaling in excess of 23 grams), Seven-Hundred-Dollars ($700) in United States Currency, .357 Magnum Revolver (obliterated serial numbers), Twenty-Nine rounds of ammunition and a police scanner (programmed to scan Roxbury & the BPD Drug Control Unit channels).
Officers arrested Tommy Hubbard, 52, of Boston on the charges of Trafficking Cocaine In Excess of 14 grams, Trafficking Cocaine Within 1000 Feet of a School Zone (Crispus Attucks Elementary), Possession of a Firearm With Obliterated Serial Numbers and Possession of Ammunition. Ms. Jemison Rolanda, 35 of Boston will be summonsed to Roxbury District Court on the above charges.
Not So Neighborly Behavior
On Monday, March 16, 2009, at approximately 2:07pm, Officers assigned to Area A-1 (Downtown), responded to 17 O’Meara Court for an Assault & Battery in progress between next-door neighbors.
Officers arrived on-scene and located two female parties with apparent scratch marks on their faces. Officers spoke with both combatants and learned that the two have been having an ongoing problem. Earlier in the day, the females began verbally arguing outside of the building before it escalated into a physical altercation. One of the suspects brandished a knife and the other suspect threw hot coffee on the other.
Officers arrested Maria Rodriguez, 34, of Boston & Melissa Brea, 28, of Boston both on the charges of Assault & Battery By Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
