Drug Control Unit Officers Execute Search Warrant that Produces Drugs & Money

BPD Drug Control Officers (Area E-13 & Area A-7) traveled to 570 Blue Hill Avenue, apartment #4f in order to execute a narcotics search warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court.On Saturday, March 7, 2009, at approximately 5:40pm, Officers were conducting pre-raid surveillance of 570 Blue Hill Avenue when the target of the investigation arrived operating a gray Buick sedan. Officers approached the target and informed him of the search warrant for his residence.
Officers made a peaceful entrance into the apartment and proceeded with the search. The following items were located: An amount of Cocaine in excess of 28 grams, An amount of United States Currency in excess of Two-Thousand-Dollars, Four digital scales (commonly used in weighing narcotics prior to being packaged for sale), Two bottles of Lactose powder (commonly used as a “cutting agent” in order to increase the overall weight of the narcotics), Numerous plastic bags, A leather gun holster, Numerous .38 caliber rounds of ammunition, Approximately Twenty-Eight (28) bags of marijuana, Several Oxycontin pills, Several Oxycodone pills and Several Suboxone pills.
Officers charged Danny Martinez, 40, of Boston and Loida Morales, 28, of Boston for Trafficking a Class B Substance (cocaine) over 28 grams, Trafficking a Class B Substance (cocaine) Within 1000 feet of a School Zone, Illegal Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Class B Substance (oxycontin) With Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Class B Substance (oxycodone) With Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Class B Substance (suboxone) With Intent to Distribute and Possession of a Class D Substance (marijuana) With Intent to Distribute.
