Incident at 85 Southampton Street/Mobil Gas Station

This afternoon around 2:17PM, officers from District C-6 (South Boston) to 85 Southampton Street/Mobil Gas Station for a car that had had crashed into a gas pump.On arrival, officers spoke to a victim/witness who reported that he was filling his car with gas when he observed a car hit another vehicle pushing it into a gas pump. According to the witness, the gas pump in turn fell onto his vehicle. Per the witness/victim, the suspect motor vehicle described as a black SUV then backed up and fled the scene of the accident.
As a result of the accident, seven individuals were transported to Boston Medical Center, all with non-life threatening injuries.
District C-6 (South Boston) detectives are actively investigating the information given by witnesses to confirm the identity of the suspect motor vehicle. As such, the incident remains under investigation. Once a suspect is identified, the suspect may face charges of Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Personal Injury, Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Property Damage and Reckless Operation or Driving to Endanger.
