BOSTON POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTS IN CONNECTION WITH JAMAICA PLAIN HOMICIDEThe Boston Police Department announces the arrest of two suspects in connection with the homicide of 22 year-old Anthony Perry, of Roslindale.
On Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at approximately 1:41pm, officers from Area E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a radio call for shots fired in the area of 319 Centre Street in Jamaica Plain. On arrival, officers located a 22 year-old male suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds in front of 321 Centre Street. The victim was transported to Brigham & Women’s Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced.
Shortly after the shooting incident, the Boston Police Homicide Unit, in collaboration with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, officers from Area E-13 (Jamaica Plain), Area B-2 (Roxbury), the Youth Violence Strike Force and the Boston Police Department’s Intelligence Unit, initiated an extensive and thorough investigation. As a result of their efforts, officers arrested Christopher Jamison, 23, of Roxbury and charged him with Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. Officers also arrested Shaba Olukaga, 19, of Roxbury and charged him with Accessory After the Fact to Murder.
Both suspects expected to be arraigned today.
