Rubber Checks Bounce Three to JailOn Friday, January 23, 2009, at approximately 9:53pm, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to 610 Blue Hill Avenue, Boston Check Cashers, for a report of a larceny in progress.
Officers arrived on-scene and learned that three individuals were attempting to cash fraudulent checks. Officers spoke with an employee of the establishment who stated the suspects had passed bad checks in the past on numerous occasions. Officers were able to determine the checks that were fraudulent had a combined value in excess of $1,100.00.
Officers arrested; Ramelle Tennyson, 30, of Boston, Gabriel Francis, 24, of Boston, and George Green, 55, of Boston on the charges of Uttering a False Document, Possession of False Checks and Attempted Larceny by Check.

Yesterday around 5:31PM, officers from District A-1 (Downtown Boston) responded to 1 Faneuil Hall Square/Newbury Comics for a shoplifter
On arrival, officers spoke to the store manager who stated that she had observed the suspect come in the store earlier in the day but did not see him steal anything. The manager went on to tell officers that she was notified by Faneuil hall Security that they had stopped the suspect due to a no trespass order and that they had found him with box of Led Zeppelin CDs from the Newbury Comics. The manger then reported that she then checked her inventory and determined that there was a box of Led Zeppelin CDs missing from the store.
Officers then spoke with the security officers. The security officer explained that they stopped the suspect due to a no trespass order and when they stopped him, a box of CDs fell out of his jacket.
The suspect, Charles F. Bellone, 54, of East Boston was arrested and charged with Shoplifting.
Food Delivery Robbery Lands Four in Jail
Last night around 11:03PM, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) arrested suspects, Kenya M. Blalock, 18, Dammikka A. Singleton, 18, Darius M. Sims, 20 and Jeffrey S. Jones, 19, all of Dorchester and charged them with Armed Robbery and Unlawful Possession of a Sawed-Off Rifle.
Officers responded just after 11:00PM to 105 Lawrence Ave. for an armed robbery in progress. On arrival, officers were met by the victim who reported that he had just been robbed at gunpoint by three black males while making a pizza delivery. The victim went on to explain that the pizza store that he works for received a food delivery order for 105 Lawrence Ave. #6 for three pizzas and a calzone. The victim stated as he arrived at 105 Lawrence Ave. he was approached by a young black male wearing all black who handed him $40.00 and took the food. The victim explained as the suspect took the food with one hand, he pulled out a handgun with his other hand, and demanded all of the victim’s money. According to the victim at this same time, two other black males in their late teens exited the building, one armed with a silver handgun and the other with a sawed-off rifle. After the suspect’s was robbed of his money, the suspects instructed him not to look back and they fled into 105 Lawrence Avenue.
Officers, knowing that the suspects had just fled in the building, conducted a protective sweep of the building to see if the suspects were still there. Officers knocked on all the apartment doors in the building and were allowed to conduct a quick sweep of the apartment after officers explained the circumstances. At apartment #6, the apartment that the food had been ordered from however, officers had to knock numerous times before they received an answer. After a while, a woman answered the door and was very evasive and defensive with officers after they explained what had just taken place. The woman told officers that only her girlfriends were over but did consent to a protective sweep of her apartment.
Officers entered the apartment and found two men and a woman sitting in the living room. During a continued sweep of the apartment, officers found the four suspects in the bathroom. The officers removed the four suspects from the bathroom to conduct a pat frisk and while they were doing so observed a black and brown handled sawed-off shotgun consistent with the sawed-off shotgun described by the victim in the bathtub partially covered with a cloth. The four suspects were placed in custody at this time and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. After the suspects were placed in custody for the firearm, officers during a continued sweep of the apartment located a bag with three pizza boxes from the victim’s store.
The suspects were additionally charged with Armed Robbery after an independent witness told officers that the three suspects were heard knocking on the door of the apartment and then observed entering the apartment with one holding the pizza boxes in his hand.
Intoxicated Man Demands Ride From Police…Wish Is Granted
On Saturday, January 24, 2009, at approximately 02:12am, officers from Area A-1 (downtown) were in the area of Tremont Street when an intoxicated individual entered the rear of their marked police cruiser. Officers instructed the male to exit the vehicle, to which he responded, “Give me a (bad word) ride”! Officers removed the subject from the car and he continued to be belligerent. Exiting patrons from the various establishments began to gather due to the subject’s disruptive behavior. Officers continued to warn him to lower his voice to no avail.
Officers arrested Charles Simpkins, 24, of Cambridge on the charges of Disorderly Person. Officers were kind enough to give Mr.Simpkins a ride….to jail.
